Spring is Here

April 8, 2016

Spring is a funny time of year no matter where you live. If you are to consider spring in Ireland, it is essential to hold onto our winter favorites to get us through the four-season day that is a regular occurrence in Ireland. While in New York, I picked up this beautiful skirt from Zara which I feel is perfect to keep you warm, but also it makes a brilliant addition to any wardrobe. It is no secret that the 70s era of fashion recently made a huge comeback last year with the help of numerous TV shows, from my favorite HBO show “Vinyl”, to numerous fashion designers including Tommy Hilfiger, Henry Holland and my real favorite Miu Miu. Spring 2015 was a hard one to compete with but I have a feeling this is only the start of some amazing comebacks for this iconic era of fashion. Zara is known to be leaps and bounds ahead of many high streets stores and is always one I keep a close eye on. Both my top and skirt are from Zara. I decided to go for blue firstly, why not ? it’s gorgeous, but secondly I have an insane citrus orange Sophie Hulme bag to match. You know you’re a shopaholic when you see something you already own in a catalogue of bags that would be a perfect match. I know I’m not alone in this craziness. As for boots, I feel every girl should invest in a really good pair. It took me a while to save for them, but I could not be happier with my new purchase. Jeffrey Campbell is known for his quirky designs, yet in my opinion his pieces are guaranteed quality. To justify this, his boots have sold out over seven times since November on not only his official site www.jefferycampbell.com, but on numerous others such as Nastygal. Trust me, I’ve spent too many evenings in the hope that the ‘sold out’ sign would disappear. Nevertheless, whether this skirt is paired off with boots or not, I feel you just can’t go wrong.
