Welcome to Lawless!
My name is Niamh Mc Keever, “Eve with an N” for those who are not familiar with Irish names. Since graduating from The National College of Art and Design, Dublin two years ago, I have been very fortunate to have lived and worked in the world of film production and costume design in New York and Mexico. I have also experienced six seasons of New York Fashion Week working for designers such as Herve Leger, Son Jung Wan, Todd Synder, Vivienne Tam, BCBG Max Azria to name just a few. It’s been an incredibly exciting and fulfilling adventure.
My first job as a costume designer was a Broadway production called “Were was I” By Karen Ludwig directed by Dorothy Lyman. Since then I have been credited as Costume designer in New York, Mexico, London and Dublin. My recent film credits include Oscar winning movie Spotlight, Daredevil, Girl on the Train and Woody Allen’s Summer 2016 Project “Café Society.”
‘Lawless’ is a fun way for me to showcase my work and my personal style but also hopefully a guide for young ladies like myself who have a passion for dressing up and owning or creating their own individual style. Who or what triggered this obsession?? I think, I speak for most ladies who would agree that either their mum or sister formed this obsession for clothing. For me it was my stylish mum who thankfully has a cool maiden name ‘Lawless’. However a very wise friend once told me that she does not follow trends. Her style is always the same because it reflects who she is. As you know trends are forever changing but who you are remains the same. I hope to achieve this with my blog for all you ladies, as I do believe there is no right or wrong way to dress and there should be no ‘Law’ or boundaries to inhibit that.
