I think it’s clear by now that I love my skirts but have a special love for midi skirts in particular. My obsession with Mad Man has really changed my sense of style, so you could imagine my excitement when I spotted VaVaVoom’s collection of skirts but also to find this beautiful black option called Anais Balloon for steal of 31.99 euro. Why do I adore these skirts?? The list and reasons are really endless, probably my main reason is the structure to these skirts. Midi Skirts really are a girl’s best friend, creating an elegant silhouette  while pinching you in by the waist, no matter what your shape these skirts will always remain flattering. Another reason to love midi skirts but especially VaVaVoom is how versatile they can be, especially with a deep colour of black. Normally when I wear these skirts, I tend to make them as casual as possible and prefer to wear a pump or embellished sandal. With this particular look, I decided to go for a strappy heel, which has been very popular this season. Regardless of wearing a heel, I still wanted to remain causal with my overall look. The key to this I feel is choosing the right top to pull the overall look together. What’s perfect about these skirts is that they can look like an evening gown one moment and can also look perfect with a crop top and leather biker jacket the next. My VaVaVoom skirt in particular, really is perfect for many occasions.

I purchased my Top from Bloomingdales for a crazy steal of 14dollars. Yes I repeat 14dollars. End of season sales really are the best in this city. The minute I saw it, I fell in love and knew I had to have it for my new skirt. With the overall look, I wanted to challenge myself and see how vibrant I could make a full black ensemble. And I think it works quiet well when you pull my new Aldo bag into the mix. I love contrasting patterns, they don’t always work but they are  definitely fun and worth a try. To keep with the casual mood, I opted for a ruffed edged bracelet to add a touch of color into the mix. If you are off for a weekend away or perhaps maybe even a wedding, I would really suggest you take a close look at VaVaVooms skirt collection. I just wish skirts like this were around when I had my debs a.k.a prom. Add a sheer black lace top and you have created your own signature look. Not only would you stand out in the crowd but also the fear factor of who wore it better would be the last thing on your mind. So check it out ladies www.vavavoom.ie
